Woke up to a world covered in heavy frost.
I would like to dedicate today's posting to Carol's aunt, Elizabeth Hurd of Goshen, NY and to Jane Steinkraus' mom, Clara Ruth Wood Golay. Elizabeth died on December 20th and Clara died today. Though I didn't know Jane's mom, the two women seemed to be of the same spirit. Elizabeth was 98 and Clara 91.
Taking my morning walk in 20 degrees and walking surrounded by magnificence and beauty all around, I couldn't help but think of Jane's tag for her mother: She Walks in Beauty. Today's post seemed to be a perfect day to dedicate to them.
I know Aunt Liz had incredible energy, loved to travel and hike and was #5 in the Catskills 3500 Hiking Club which entailed hiking all 35 peaks in the Catskills over 3500 feet.
May they both find incredible adventures and travels in their new lives.
